World KNK manufactures woven uniforms for port operators, terminal teams and maritime services in Bandung, Indonesia, cut and sewn to specification from 1,000 pieces per style. Terminal staff, stevedoring crews, marine operations and administration, all dressed to one specification with department colour-coding and your organisation’s logo applied in production, backed by a factory producing since 2000 with 200,000 pieces of monthly capacity. Sampling takes 1 to 2 weeks and bulk delivery 6 to 12 weeks.
Ports run on recognisable crews
A port or terminal is a 24-hour operation where staff, contractors and visitors all move through the same gates, and the wardrobe is what makes the operation legible: which crew, which shift, which authority. The supply layer never caught up with that. Wholesale catalogues sell a popular workwear brand by the shirt, decorators add whatever logo fits, and the heavy-duty niches go to safety catalogues where everything is high-visibility gear. What ports actually need is the manufactured middle: work shirts built to one written specification, in the organisation’s colours, colour-coded by department and shift, graded across every hire, and reproduced identically on every re-order. That is the lane World KNK works.
Patterns are cut digitally on Lectra systems and stored with your programme, and cloth is dyed to a locked standard, so a re-order next season matches the first delivery and every terminal in the group matches every other.
What we make for port and maritime teams
Terminal & stevedoring crews

Marine operations staff
Practical woven pieces for crews working the water side, colour-set by department.
Gatehouse & security desks
Crisp woven shirts for the teams controlling access, consistent with the wider programme.
Administration & offices
Office wear cut from the same cloth standards, so waterfront and back office read as one organisation.
Shift & department colour-coding
Crews and shifts dyed to different standards, readable at a distance across a busy terminal.
Top-ups & new terminals
New intakes and new terminals handled from patterns on file, matching the first delivery exactly.
Programme terms
The minimum is 1,000 pieces per style, mixed across the size run, with custom fabric development from 1,500 pieces. Quotes are ex-factory Bandung: fabric, trims, make and finishing in one complete number. Programmes run on FOB (full service) terms: we source the fabric, build the pattern, run sampling and production, and QC every piece before shipment. Samples are couriered within 1 to 2 weeks of specification, bulk takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on fabric, and export documentation is handled from our side. For departments whose work demands technical fabrics, garments are quoted against the specifications your programme holds.
Woven specialists
World KNK makes woven garments only: shirts, blouses, dresses, trousers, skirts, vests and light jackets. Woven cloth is what port wear is judged on, structure through a physical shift, colour that survives constant laundering, consistency across every crew and terminal, and it is the whole focus here rather than one line among many. More than five million pieces have left the floor since 2000.
How ordering works
Send the specification: departments, shifts, garment types, colours, headcount and size breakdowns. We quote the programme and put fabric options on the table. Samples are couriered within 1 to 2 weeks, approved on real crews, then bulk production takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on fabric. Order a buffer for intakes: patterns on file turn every top-up into a matching re-order.
Port & maritime uniform FAQs
What is the minimum order?
1,000 pieces per style, mixed across your size run. Custom fabric development starts at 1,500 pieces per style.
Can shifts and departments be colour-coded?
Yes. Cloth is dyed to your department and shift standards, and the palette is locked on file so every future order matches the first delivery.
Will a re-order match the original batch?
Yes. Patterns live on Lectra digital files, cloth is dyed to the locked standard, and bulk is checked against the approved sample before it ships.
How do samples reach us?
Samples are couriered from Bandung and arrive within 1 to 2 weeks of specification, ready to be worn and washed before you approve bulk.
Can you work to our technical fabric requirements?
Yes. Where a department’s work demands specific fabrics, garments are quoted against the specifications your programme holds.
We need fewer than 1,000 pieces per style. Can you help?
For smaller inquiries, check out our subsidiary Kizen Lab. They run woven clothing programmes from 500 pieces on a full-service basis at kizenlab.com.
