World KNK makes chef uniforms and kitchen wear in Bandung, Indonesia: chef jackets, kitchen trousers and aprons cut and sewn to your specification, in our own factory, since 2000. Kitchen programmes start at 1,000 pieces per style, mixed across your full size run, with 200,000 pieces of monthly production capacity behind them. Sampling takes 1 to 2 weeks and bulk delivery 6 to 12 weeks, so a programme agreed now is on the line before the next season’s menu lands.
Built for heat, steam and industrial laundering
Kitchen wear is judged in the hardest conditions in clothing: grease, steam, open flame nearby, and a hot-wash cycle every single night. Catalogue chef coats are chosen from what is in stock; ours are made to specification. Heavy woven cottons and blends matched to the heat of the pass, double-stitched seams at the stress points, knots and buttons that survive the wash, and a fit that lets a chef work a twelve-hour service without thinking about the coat once. Samples are worn through real services and real washing before bulk is approved.
Patterns are developed and cut digitally on Lectra systems and stored with your programme, so new intakes of apprentices and new sites are dressed identically to the team already on the line.

Rank and section, read at a glance
Kitchens run on hierarchy, and the clothing carries it. Executive whites, senior blacks, section colours for the grill, pastry and cold larder: colour-coding is handled through dyed-to-match cloth and colour-blocking, so the hierarchy is visible across the pass without a single word spoken. Knotted cloth buttons, contrast piping and embroidered names are built into the coat in production, not added on top of it afterwards.
How a kitchen programme runs
Start with sketches, reference coats or your current issue to improve on. Samples are in your hands in 1 to 2 weeks, worn through real services and washed hard before approval. While samples are out, build the quantity breakdown by style and size against your brigade list. Bulk production takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on fabric; a custom-developed cloth adds 4 to 8 weeks, so raise it early if the programme needs its own cloth. Order a buffer beyond the brigade: apprentices, new sites and replacements are constant, and patterns on file turn every top-up into a matching re-order.
Chef uniform FAQs
What is the minimum order for chef uniforms?
1,000 pieces per style, mixed across your size run. Custom fabric development starts at 1,500 pieces per style.
Can you make coats to our own design and colours?
Yes. Cloth is dyed and matched to your palette, knotted buttons and piping follow your specification, and samples are approved through real services before bulk runs.
How durable are the chef jackets?
They are built for it: heavy woven cottons and blends matched to kitchen duty cycles, double-stitched at the stress points, tested through repeated hot laundering in sampling.
Can each chef have their name on the coat?
Yes. Names, roles and venue marks are embroidered in production, identically positioned across every coat in the order.
How do re-orders work for new intakes?
Your patterns stay on file with the factory. A top-up order matches the first issue exactly, so new apprentices dress like the senior team.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We export from Bandung, Indonesia, and run programmes for overseas buyers, including a Hawaii-based uniform procurement house.
We need fewer than 1,000 pieces per style. Can you help?
For smaller inquiries, check out our subsidiary Kizen Lab. They run woven uniform programmes from 500 pieces on a full-service basis at kizenlab.com.
