Made to spec, not picked from a catalogue
Most uniform supply in the United States is stock and decorate: wholesale catalogues, bulk programmes that put your logo on a pre-made garment, and rental fleets that rotate the same standard pieces. For a school district, a hospitality group, a growing chain or a uniform retailer that wants its own label, there is a second option: a factory that manufactures to your specification. Every World KNK garment is cut and sewn to your design, in cloth dyed to your colours, with embroidery and branding applied in production. Programmes run on FOB (full service) terms: we source the fabric, build the pattern, run sampling and production, and QC every piece before shipment.
Patterns are developed and cut digitally on Lectra systems and stored with your programme. When enrolment grows, a new site opens or next season’s order lands, a re-order comes off the same digital patterns and matches the first delivery exactly.

World KNK makes woven garments only: shirts, blouses, dresses, trousers, skirts, vests and light jackets. That focus is deliberate. Woven uniform wear is judged on structure, colour consistency and how it survives a working week of washing, and twenty-plus years on the same production floor is what delivers it. Our group produces around 200,000 pieces a month across the Bandung site, and more than five million pieces have left the floor since 2000.
Why US buyers manufacture in Bandung
Bandung is one of Southeast Asia’s established garment cities, and our factory has been producing there since 2000. Group customers include a Hawaii-based procurement house. For a US programme, that means factory-direct pricing without a sourcing middleman, English-speaking programme management, and export documentation handled from our side. Samples travel by air courier and bulk ships from Bandung to major US ports, with your freight forwarder or ours moving the cartons.
How ordering from the United States works
Start with sketches, reference garments or your current uniform to improve on. Samples are couriered to you in the US within 1 to 2 weeks, worn and washed before approval. While samples are out, build your size breakdown against enrolment or headcount. Bulk production takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on fabric, then ships from Bandung with documentation handled from our side. Order a buffer: mid-year intakes and new sites are constant, and patterns on file turn every top-up into a matching re-order.

What is the minimum order for a uniform programme?
1,000 pieces per style, mixed across your size run. Custom fabric development starts at 1,500 pieces per style.
What does FOB (full service) mean for us?
We source the fabric, build the pattern, run sampling and production, and QC every piece, and you keep control of the decisions that define the programme through approved samples and specifications.
Can you match our school or company colours exactly?
Yes. Cloth is dyed and matched to your palette, embroidery and branding are applied in production, and samples are approved before bulk runs.
How do samples reach us in the US?
Samples are couriered from Bandung and arrive within 1 to 2 weeks of specification, ready to be worn and washed by real people before you approve bulk.
How do re-orders work for new intakes and new sites?
Your patterns stay on file with the factory. A top-up order matches the first delivery exactly, without paying for development again.
