Singapore Festive Production Calendar 2027: Every Order-By Date

Five festivals set the rhythm of apparel buying in Singapore, and each one runs on a different clock. The Singapore festive production calendar for 2027 lines up the dates your stock has to be in hand, then works backwards through sampling, production and shipping to the day the order has to be placed. Two of the five order-by dates fall inside the current planning quarter: corporate orders for Chinese New Year 2027 need to be confirmed between November and mid-December 2026, and Hari Raya collections between December 2026 and mid-January 2027.

This page is the calendar for the whole season. It is written for the four kinds of buyer the windows belong to: corporate teams ordering red collections, modest-wear labels cutting baju kurung and kebaya, uniform buyers planning National Day, and retail brands filling the Christmas shelf. It comes from a woven garment factory in Bandung, making wovens since 2000.

What is the Singapore festive production calendar for 2027?

The Singapore festive production calendar is the set of dates when festive apparel must be in hand in Singapore, together with the order-by dates that follow backwards from them. In 2027 five windows matter: Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Puasa, National Day, Deepavali and the Christmas retail season.

WindowIn marketOrder byTypical orders
Chinese New Year6 and 7 February 2027 (Year of the Goat)November to mid-December 2026Corporate red collections, branded polos and shirts, family-photo outfits
Hari Raya PuasaWednesday 10 March 2027December 2026 to mid-January 2027Baju kurung, kebaya and modest wear in nidha, satin crepe, rayon and twill
National DayMonday 9 August 2027April to May 2027Red-and-white corporate wear, community and estate uniforms
DeepavaliThursday 28 October 2027June to mid-July 2027Festive woven edits, paired with the Christmas shelf
Christmas + summer retailShelf by mid-November 2027July to early August 2027Woven fashion: shirting, poplin, twill, rayon, crepe

The festival dates come from Singapore’s gazetted 2027 public holidays, published by the Ministry of Manpower. Chinese New Year falls on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February 2027, the Year of the Goat, with Monday 8 February gazetted where it replaces a rest day. Hari Raya Puasa falls on Wednesday 10 March 2027, National Day on Monday 9 August 2027, and Christmas Day on Saturday 25 December 2027.

When should corporate buyers order Chinese New Year 2027 apparel?

Order between November and mid-December 2026. Working backwards from an early February handover: sampling takes one to two weeks, bulk production six to twelve weeks, and sea freight from Indonesia to Singapore runs, as a planning reference, one to one-and-a-half weeks door to door.

Those ranges carry an honest edge. At the shorter end of them a mid-December order still lands before the festival; at the longer end it does not, which is why first-time collections belong at the front of the window, and why January orders are where festive deadlines are usually lost. The market presses the same lesson from the gifting side: Singapore’s corporate gifting trade advises briefing suppliers by October, because production capacity fills through November, and a brief left to December leaves fast-turnaround stock items only (market reference).

The corporate window has its own shape. Red collections for Chinese New Year mean branded polos and shirts in the season’s colours for staff, gifts for clients, and matching outfits for family portraits. It is also worth being clear about what separates a factory order from the print shop around the corner: local decorators press logos onto stock blanks, which is fast, but the garment itself stays off the shelf. A factory order cuts and sews the shirt to your specification, from the collar construction down to the woven label, from 1,000 pieces per style. For the full picture on minimums, see why clothing factories have minimum orders, and for how made-to-spec programmes work for Singapore companies, see our Singapore uniform manufacturing page. The buyer-side clock for this window runs on our sourcing desk’s Chinese New Year order clock, and the collection-level view is on our Chinese New Year collection page.

When do Hari Raya 2027 collections go into production?

Order between December 2026 and mid-January 2027. Hari Raya Puasa falls on Wednesday 10 March 2027 in Singapore’s gazette. Malaysia declares its own date by moon sighting, and the two can differ by a day, so a collection serving both markets plans to the earlier date.

The retail season builds earlier than the festival. In recent seasons collections have reached racks across Singapore and Malaysia from early January, preorder windows have closed a few weeks before the festival, and the balik kampung travel week has emptied the cities in the final days. A collection that misses its delivery window does not slide a fortnight; it sits until the post-Raya sales, or until next year.

The fabrics of the season are all woven: baju kurung, kebaya and modern modest wear cut from nidha, satin crepe, rayon and twill. Labels testing a first capsule can run it through Kizen Lab’s 500-piece small-batch production, though the small lane runs the same clock faster, not later: four to six weeks of production and the same freight window still put the order inside the December to mid-January span. The same Bandung lanes also serve Gulf buyers ahead of Ramadan, which runs on a separate production calendar, and our abaya manufacturing programme shows how the mill handles one modest-wear category end to end. The four fabrics of the season are compared in our Raya fabric guide, with the care they need in our fabric care guide.

Can one production run serve both Chinese New Year and Hari Raya?

Yes, and in 2027 the calendar rewards it: barely a month separates the two festivals. One booking secures the production slot, then delivers in two waves: corporate red sets are handed over in late January, and Raya stock lands by late February. Companies with staff in both Singapore and Malaysia often order both from the same run, red for February and corporate Raya sets for March.

A Singapore head office order also tends to cover more than Singapore. Orders that specify for the wider region are common on our floor: hotel groups, uniform contractors and trading houses headquartered here buy for Malaysia, Indonesia and beyond. One specification and one quality standard, with deliveries split by country, is a cleaner buy than three suppliers reconciling three versions of the same shirt. The two-wave mechanics, including how the second wave’s fabrics are chosen at the original brief, are described in Kizen Lab’s one run, two festivals guide.

When is National Day 2027 apparel ordered?

Between April and May 2027. National Day falls on Monday 9 August 2027, and the red-and-white corporate wear and community uniforms around it are the most forgiving window of the four: the whole first quarter is free for design and sampling. It is also the window most often wasted by leaving the brief to June.

When must Christmas 2027 stock be ordered?

Between July and early August 2027, because the stock must be on the shelf by mid-November 2027, ahead of the year-end trading peak. This window is woven only: shirting, poplin, twill, rayon and crepe, the categories a boutique buyer can build a summer edit around. For a Singapore label that is also a regional head office, one woven order can serve stores across Southeast Asia.

When is Deepavali 2027 apparel ordered?

Between June and mid-July 2027. Deepavali falls on Thursday 28 October 2027, about three weeks before the mid-November Christmas shelf, and the same autumn booking can carry both: a phased delivery puts the Deepavali edit on the floor ahead of the festival and the Christmas pieces on the shelf from mid-November, with the size split for each delivery set at the brief. The window’s own arithmetic runs on our sourcing desk’s Deepavali order clock.

How far in advance should you book production capacity?

Book the factory slot first, then build the calendar backwards. Sampling runs one to two weeks per round. Bulk production runs six to twelve weeks. Sea freight from Indonesia to Singapore adds a planning reference of one to one-and-a-half weeks door to door, with the ocean leg itself only one to two days. That arithmetic is what sets every order-by date on this page, and it assumes styles the factory knows; a first collection with new patterns belongs at the front of its window.

Capacity is the reason the slot matters. Our floor in Bandung runs 200,000 pieces a month with nearly 1,000 people on campus, and patterns are drafted on Lectra’s digital systems, so a booked calendar is a calendar that holds. The detail sits in our pages on factory capacity and booking and garment production lead times. Collections that need custom-developed fabric start at 1,500 pieces per style and need a longer runway still, because the cloth itself is developed before cutting begins.

For a first festive style, the small lane costs less to try. Kizen Lab, on the same campus, produces FOB runs from 500 pieces per style with lead times of four to six weeks, so a label can put one design in front of customers before it commits a full programme.

What does importing festive apparel from Indonesia into Singapore involve?

Garments enter Singapore duty free. Singapore Customs lists only four dutiable categories, intoxicating liquors, tobacco, motor vehicles and petroleum products, and clothing is not among them. Imported goods do carry GST at the prevailing 9% rate, paid by the importer of record and claimable back as input tax by GST-registered businesses, so the tax is a timing matter for most companies rather than a cost.

The shipping lane is short. As a planning reference, sea freight from Java to Singapore runs one to one-and-a-half weeks door to door, including consolidation, vessel cut-offs and customs clearance, and the same lane continues on to Malaysia’s Port Klang and Johor. It is the reason a Bandung production calendar and a Singapore retail calendar fit together with weeks to spare.

Frequently asked questions

When is the last practical month to order Chinese New Year 2027 corporate apparel?

Mid-December 2026. Orders confirmed between November and mid-December 2026 leave room for one to two weeks of sampling and six to twelve weeks of production before Chinese New Year on 6 and 7 February 2027. Earlier orders get first pick of fabric and a wider delivery window.

What is the minimum order for festive apparel made in Indonesia?

World KNK’s minimum is 1,000 pieces per style, rising to 1,500 for custom fabric development. Kizen Lab, on the same campus, produces FOB runs from 500 pieces per style with lead times of four to six weeks.

When is Hari Raya Puasa 2027?

Wednesday, 10 March 2027, in Singapore’s gazetted calendar. Malaysia sets its own date by moon sighting and it can differ by a day, so collections serving both markets plan to the earlier date.

When should Christmas 2027 stock be ordered?

Between July and early August 2027, for a shelf date of mid-November 2027. The window is woven only: shirting, poplin, twill, rayon and crepe.

What happens if the order-by date has already passed?

The options narrow rather than disappear: smaller runs on the 500-piece lane, styles on stock fabrics that skip the development runway, and phased deliveries that split a collection across the season. What cannot be recovered is sampling, production and shipping time, so the brief should name the real in-market date first and let the factory say what is still possible.

How long does sea freight from Indonesia to Singapore take?

As a planning reference, one to one-and-a-half weeks door to door from Java, including consolidation, vessel cut-offs and customs clearance. The ocean leg itself takes one to two days.

Is there customs duty on garments imported into Singapore?

No. Singapore Customs lists four dutiable categories and clothing is not one of them. Imported apparel carries 9% GST, paid by the importer of record and recoverable as input tax by GST-registered businesses.
