Local Council Uniform Manufacturer from 1,000 Pieces

World KNK manufactures woven uniforms for local council teams in Bandung, Indonesia, cut and sewn to specification from 1,000 pieces per style. A council is many departments under one brand, and the wardrobe has to work for all of them: the front counter, the community events team, the outdoor crews. Every garment is made to your specification, colour-coded by department, with your logo applied in production, backed by a factory producing since 2000 with 200,000 pieces of monthly capacity.

One council, many departments, one standard

Council staff are the public face of the community they serve, and they are also the hardest to dress well: the same organisation runs an air-conditioned service centre, a weekend festival crew and outdoor teams who wear their uniform hard. Buying the wardrobe from a catalogue splits the look across departments; renting it hands the standard to someone else. Manufacturing to specification keeps it in the council’s hands. World KNK produces the woven wardrobe to one specification, with department colour-coding dyed to your standards, logo and crest work applied in production, and grading that covers the whole team from the smallest size to the largest.

For procurement teams, the shape of the supply is as important as the garments. Specifications are written, held and honoured: patterns live on Lectra digital files, cloth is dyed to a locked standard, and bulk is checked against the approved sample. A re-order in year three matches the first delivery, which is what makes multi-year clothing programmes governable.

What we make for council teams

Customer service & front counter

Crisp woven shirts and blouses for the teams residents deal with face to face.

Community programs & events

Durable, presentable pieces for staff running libraries, festivals and community centres.

Works & outdoor crews

Hard-wearing woven work shirts and trousers built for physical days and constant laundering.

Administration & offices

Office wear cut from the same cloth standards, so back-office and front-line read as one council.

Department colour-coding

Each department’s cloth dyed to its own standard, so residents and staff can read roles at a glance.

Top-ups & re-orders

New starters and department expansions handled from patterns on file, matching the first delivery exactly.

Procurement-friendly manufacturing

The minimum is 1,000 pieces per style, mixed across the size run, with custom fabric development from 1,500 pieces. Quotes are ex-factory Bandung: fabric, trims, make and finishing in one complete number, with freight and duties the lines your side controls. Programmes run on FOB (full service) terms: we source the fabric, build the pattern, run sampling and production, and QC every piece before shipment. Samples are couriered within 1 to 2 weeks of specification, and bulk production takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on fabric, with export documentation handled from our side.

Woven specialists

World KNK makes woven garments only: shirts, blouses, dresses, trousers, skirts, vests and light jackets. Woven cloth is what council wear is judged on, structure that holds through a shift, colour that survives industrial laundering, consistency across every department, and it is the whole focus here rather than one line among many. More than five million pieces have left the floor since 2000.

How ordering works

Send the specification: department lists, garment types, colours, quantities and size breakdowns. We quote the programme and put fabric options on the table. Samples are couriered within 1 to 2 weeks, approved against the spec, then bulk production takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on fabric. Order a buffer for new starters: patterns on file turn every top-up into a matching re-order.

Council uniform FAQs

What is the minimum order?

1,000 pieces per style, mixed across your size run. Custom fabric development starts at 1,500 pieces per style.

Can each department have its own colour?

Yes. Cloth is dyed to your department standards, and the palette is locked on file so every future order matches the first delivery.

Will a re-order match the original batch?

Yes. Patterns live on Lectra digital files, cloth is dyed to the locked standard, and bulk is checked against the approved sample before it ships.

How do samples and approvals work?

Samples are couriered within 1 to 2 weeks of specification, worn and washed by real staff, and approved before bulk is cut.

Can you work to a formal procurement specification?

Yes. Specifications, minimums, timelines and terms are all documented up front, which is what a council procurement process needs to see.

We need fewer than 1,000 pieces per style. Can you help?
