Hari Raya Haji 2027: The Calendar’s Second Raya Date

Singapore’s festive calendar holds two Raya dates, and most production talk covers only the first. Hari Raya Haji 2027 falls on Monday 17 May 2027, gazetted in Singapore, and the same Monday appears on Indonesia’s own holiday decree as Iduladha, with a rare joint-leave day attached the day after. For a label, the second Raya raises a fair question: does the calendar need a second capsule? The honest answer is mostly no, and the reasons why are the useful part: what the date does to a Bandung floor, and how the mid-year stretch runs before National Day.

When is Hari Raya Haji 2027?

Monday, 17 May 2027, one of Singapore’s eleven gazetted public holidays, falling directly on a Monday with no substitute day needed. The same date appears on Indonesia’s 2027 joint ministerial decree as Hari Raya Iduladha, a national holiday, with Tuesday 18 May added as a joint-leave day, an addition the Iduladha entry has not carried in past years. The two countries’ official lists agree on 17 May this cycle, so one date serves both markets.

Does Raya Haji need its own production run?

For most labels, no. The second Raya is the quieter of the two: the festival’s core is the korban and the morning prayers, and in recent seasons the fashion write-ups in Singapore and Malaysia are all Raya Puasa. A capsule built for Hari Raya on 10 March has ten weeks of selling behind it by mid-May: the launch and the open-house weeks through April, then a slower May. What Raya Haji actually asks of production is already inside the Raya answer: stock we shipped in March and April, topped up where the first weeks proved demand. Where a style sold out its opening weeks, a re-cut from the held patterns spends April on the line and racks in the last weeks before 17 May, on the same Kizen Lab 500-pieces-per-style floor as the capsule it extends.

What does the date do on the Bandung calendar?

It puts a two-day pause on the floor. The Iduladha holiday falls on Monday 17 May, with Tuesday 18 May beside it as a joint leave, and the floor starts again on Wednesday 19 May. The holiday itself is a voluntary working day at premium rates under Indonesian law, and the floor’s May arrangement travels with the booking sheet, not with an assumption. Iduladha’s block is two days, roughly ten weeks after the 10 and 11 March holidays. Lebaran’s close that month runs longer, and its length is settled floor by floor.

How does Raya Haji compare with the other windows?

It is the calendar’s quiet mid-point. The Raya Puasa window closes in mid-January, and no window opens again until National Day books from April to May 2027 for Monday 9 August, about twelve weeks after Raya Haji. The second Raya opens no booking window of its own; it is served by the Raya season’s stock and marks the stretch a label uses for held-pattern decisions. Labels running the CNY and Raya pairing already know this stretch well: the two-festivals guide covers the December booking that sews through it.

Raya Haji calendar questions

Is Hari Raya Haji a public holiday in both Singapore and Indonesia?

Yes, on the same day this cycle: Monday 17 May 2027 in Singapore’s gazette and as Iduladha on Indonesia’s decree, with Tuesday 18 May added there as a joint leave.

Can a Raya Puasa capsule stretch to cover Raya Haji?

That is what the season already does. The capsule launches for 10 March, sells through the open-house weeks of April, and the held-pattern lane on the Raya pilot page, at 500 pieces per style, tops up the styles the first weeks proved, in production through April and on shelves before 17 May.

Does the Tuesday joint leave add cost?

Tuesday 18 May is a joint leave, not a holiday, so it is not a premium day. The premium question attaches only to Monday 17 May itself, and only if the floor works it, by agreement.

Does the two-day pause delay a May delivery?

Two calendar days inside a May schedule move a delivery by a working day at most, and the plan accounts for them at booking.

Which window serves a label that wants new pieces by mid-May?

The Raya window, December 2026 to mid-January 2027, with re-cuts extending from held patterns into the sewing months after it. The full order-by table for the year, every window on one page, is on the Singapore festive production calendar, and the capsule-level view is on our Raya collection page. Minimums are on the minimum-order page.
