World KNK makes marina and boating club uniforms in Bandung, Indonesia: woven shirts for the shore teams that run the berth office, the chandlery and the waterfront hospitality, cut and sewn to your marina’s brand from 1,000 pieces per style. Branding and department coding applied in production, patterns stored on Lectra systems for season top-ups, and 200,000 pieces of monthly capacity behind the programme. Producing since 2000.
The marina operator is a different buyer from the yacht
The uniform houses of the yachting world serve superyacht fleets: technical crew wear for vessels that cross oceans. The marina itself is a different business with a different wardrobe: a berth office taking deliveries and handling berthing contracts, a chandlery retail floor, a waterfront café or bar in season, and an administration office running the marina’s membership and bookings. That shore team is dressed in branded collared shirts, and the industry’s default is a decorator’s polo. The made-to-spec lane, which is what this page runs, dresses the whole marina in one programme: office, retail, hospitality and administration cut to the marina’s brand from 1,000 pieces per style, on one specification, season after season.
Patterns are cut digitally on Lectra systems and stored with the programme, so a season’s intake or a second marina in the group comes off the same nest and matches the first delivery exactly.
What we make for marina and boating club teams
Berth office & reception shirts
Collared woven shirts for the office where owners, skippers and contractors check in, cut to the marina’s palette.
Chandlery retail staff
Retail-grade woven shirts for the shop floor, in the same system as the office so the marina reads as one brand.
Waterfront hospitality
Server and steward shirts for the deck café, bar and event spaces, built for industrial laundering between seasons.
Administration wear
Business shirts for marina management, membership and accounts, in the same brand system.
Regatta & event office shirts
Shirting for regatta weeks and club events, cut to the club or marina colours with branding in production.
Season & intake top-ups
Marinas hire for the season; top-ups come off stored patterns and match every shirt already in service.
Built for salt air and a short season
A marina wardrobe works in salt air, sun and a hiring pattern that spikes every season. The specification discipline matters: cloth dyed to the marina palette, embroidery and department coding applied in production against approved artwork, samples couriered within 1 to 2 weeks and audited before bulk, and bulk runs 6 to 12 weeks with shipping documentation handled from our side. Dockside garments with visibility requirements sit outside this page’s woven range: they are quoted against the written specification your operations team holds, as a separate line. Marina groups and boating clubs audit what arrives; this is a factory built to pass that audit, including a Hawaii-based procurement house among our buyers.
FOB (full service) manufacturing
Marina operators run different supply models, and both are on offer here. Under FOB (full service), we source the fabric, build the pattern, run sampling and production, and QC every piece before shipment. The production floor, pattern-making and QC are the same on every programme, and every programme starts at 1,000 pieces per style.
How a marina programme order runs
Send the specification: tech packs, reference shirts or the current wardrobe to replace, with your department breakdown, staff numbers and size run. Samples are couriered within 1 to 2 weeks and worn, washed and audited before approval. Bulk production takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on fabric, then ships with documentation handled from our side. Plan around the season: order ahead of the hiring spike, and a standing replenishment rhythm off stored patterns keeps every department in specification without re-tendering the shirt.
Marina uniform FAQs
What is the minimum order?
1,000 pieces per style, mixed across your size run. Custom fabric development starts at 1,500 pieces per style.
Do you supply yacht crew uniforms?
The specialist yacht crew houses own that lane. This page is for the marina operator’s shore team: berth office, chandlery, hospitality and administration.
We need high-visibility garments for the docks. Can you help?
Dockside garments with visibility requirements are quoted against the written specification your operations team holds, as a separate line from the shore wardrobe on this page.
Our marina is smaller than a thousand pieces. Is there an option?
Our subsidiary Kizen Lab runs the same standards from 500 pieces per style on a full-service basis at kizenlab.com, in the same factory group.
How do re-orders stay consistent across seasons?
Patterns, specs and approved artwork stay on file with the factory. Every top-up manufactures to the same locked specification as the first delivery.
