A port is a city with a gate

A container terminal employs thousands across shifts that never stop, and while the cranes take the skyline, the operator’s business is run from an office tier the public never thinks about: the shipping-line liaisons who keep the schedules true, the customer service team every carrier and trucking firm rings first, the gate office processing documentation at all hours, the control room, the commercial team leasing the space, and the executives who host government delegations and shipping-line boards. That tier is dressed today from stock catalogue brands, the same polos and oxfords every industry buys, which is precisely why a port’s office staff look like everyone else’s. A made-to-spec programme gives the operator its own wardrobe: cloth dyed to the authority’s palette, role colours readable across a shift change, patterns stored so the intake that started yesterday matches the team that has run the gate for years.

Patterns are cut digitally on Lectra systems and stored with your programme, so every intake, every shift wave and every new terminal comes off the same files and matches the first delivery exactly.

What we make for ports and terminal operators

Shipping-line liaison & customer service

Sharp woven shirts for the teams carriers and trucking firms speak to first.

Gate office & documentation wear

Durable easy-care shirting for the desks processing the port’s paperwork around the clock.

Operations control-room admin

Comfortable, presentable pieces for the rooms where the schedule is defended.

Commercial & property teams

Smarter shirting for the teams leasing terminals, sheds and the port’s commercial estate.

Executive & delegation wear

Tailored-tier pieces for the visits a port exists to host: boards, ministers, shipping-line principals.

Shift-intake top-ups

Ports hire in waves across shifts; top-ups pull from patterns on file and match the existing wardrobe exactly.

Dress the office tier; wharf gear is a separate specification

A clear line keeps this programme precise: it dresses the terminal’s commercial and administrative workforce, the people whose day is spent with carriers, documents, delegations and each other. The wharf side, the stevedores and equipment crews who work the apron, wear operational garments quoted against the written safety specification your operations and safety teams hold, alongside your industrial supplier. What connects the two streams is the palette and the label standard, so the whole port still reads as one authority from the gate office to the quay, with each stream quoted and held separately.

How ordering works

Send your designs, reference shirts or the current office wardrobe, with headcount and size breakdown across the tiers and your shift structure. We quote the programme, put fabric options on the table, and samples are couriered within 1 to 2 weeks. Have staff wear and wash them through real shifts before approving bulk, then production takes 6 to 12 weeks depending on fabric and ships with documentation handled from our side. Order a buffer: ports hire across shifts all year, and patterns on file turn every intake into a matching re-order.

Port uniform FAQs

What is the minimum order?

1,000 pieces per style, mixed across your size run. Role tiers run as separate styles, each at 1,000, which suits a major terminal’s office headcount.

Do you make the wharf-side safety garments?

Apron and wharf operational garments are quoted against your operations team’s written safety specification. This programme is the commercial and administrative wardrobe; the two can share one palette.

Can one programme cover several terminals?

Yes. The specification runs across every terminal the operator runs, with role colours consistent port to port, all cut from the same stored patterns.

How do re-orders for shift intakes work?

Your patterns stay on file with the factory. A top-up matches the first delivery exactly, so the officers starting next month’s roster wear what the standing team wears.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We export from Bandung, Indonesia, and the group already ships garment programmes overseas, including for a Hawaii-based procurement house.

We need fewer than 1,000 pieces per style. Can you help?

For smaller inquiries, check out our subsidiary Kizen Lab. They run woven uniform programmes from 500 pieces on a full-service basis at kizenlab.com.
